It can become a very complicated process very quickly. Of course, just when you think everything is going right BAM something happens. I had a client who closed on a home and three days later had a septic back up in his home. Who do you think they called first? Yes, my friend it was his realtor. Not because I am a plumber but because that is the first thought. I put on my investigator hat and made some calls. I wasn’t able to do much on a Friday night at 7 p.m. but I was able to get the company back out to take care of business they should have handled in the first place. On a side note some septic tanks or maybe all I don’t know really, but they have a turn off switch to a pump especially if going up hill. Why call the agent? Because we know a lot of different people in a lot of different businesses and more than likely we can refer/advise help. I am not a jack of trades, but I can get things done and I am pretty good investigator. The point to my story is don’t think you know everything just because you have bought and sold a few home’s. Every sale is different. Sometimes we get really happy and we try to sell our own home and that’s okay but I am here if you need me. I can get you the forms you need, bring you wine after an 8 p.m. showing appointment call after your kids baseball game, I can bring you Tylenol after the person doesn’t show up for the appointment they scheduled, I can bring you more Tylenol and wine because the only interest buyer has not even spoke to a Lender to see if your home is in his budget. It get’s complicated and it get’s hard when you have a life outside of selling your home. See this is what I do and I love it selling your home and dealing with putting out all the fires and handling all the stress.
